Default Is this a good trade?

Been thinking of selling my vette for the right price to buy a newer one.

Here's what somebody offered me.

Here's my vette.

I already have two motorhomes. I would sell this one, and buy a 90's c4.

Just looking for other opinions.

There's a reason the guy with the motorhome is trying to get rid of it. Being you already have two of them, I'll bet you know why.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. I'm always unsure when it comes to bartering. I've made out like a bandit in the past.

The water damage raises an eye brow with me. His explanation was the guy he bought it from (his neighbor) nephew left the pump on in the winter and the pipes froze, cracked, and then flooded the motorhome. But its all been repaired, apparently.

He said he's selling because he got a 40 foot coach. Who knows.

The most suspicious part is I actually saw his ad posted a couple months back. And he's gone down on his price since. Perhaps if he's having such trouble selling, I would have trouble selling too.
Again, who knows

Thing is, when I had my 92 pace arrow with 33,000 miles listed on CL in the middle of winter I got overwhelmed with people wanting to buy it. I do have a very nice couch though in my opinion.

So the reason he can't sell it could be the coach, could be the market, or could be him. Tough to say. right?

Since you obviously flip cars, I assume you know your market. I Arizona, you can't give away a large motorhome, you have to trade it. Nobody wants something that costs $10 just to warm it up, and that takes special places just to park it.

If your 84 only needs an a/c recharge, you are better off just getting it done.
It will have a better chance of selling or will bring better trade offers than this motorhome if it is working.

Every time I read an ad that says "just needs a recharge" it usually means that the a/c is broken and will cost a fortune to fix.

Keep your corvette for awhile and see what comes along,if you are a car flipper like myself you don't last long until you need/want another corvette.

Corvettes are alot like Lays potato chips, you just can't have one.

Having owned multiple RVs, I can tlel you with certainty: This would be a very bad trade for you.

It would be a bad tarde even withOUT the motorhome having suffered water damage. With the water damage history, it's a no brainer: do not make this trade.

Even in this economy it's much easier to sell a C4 than an old motorhome that has had previous water damage.
