odd radio issue
Up until now I have not had a door pin switch on my drivers door, so to turn the radio off or interior lights on I have had to use my passenger door. Now I have the door pin switch back in and my lights all trigger when I open the door but the radio stays on (not getting a key buzzer either I Dont think) opening the passenger door still shuts the radio off or lights on just fine
I'm stumped

The CCM monitors the door switches and controls the DAB relay.
Close both doors.
With the ignition On open the drivers door.
The Door Ajar light in the dash cluster should light.
Close the door and the Door Ajar light should go off.
You say the passenger side door switch works properly so the only
thing left is the new door switch you installed.
The DAB relay keeps power to the power windows and radio for up to 15 minutes after the ignition is shut off unless one of the doors is opened.
The key chime not working can't be the problem since you say the passengerside door operates properly.

So I tried it and no door ajar light when operating the drivers door... Works OK with the passenger door...so is that a bad pin switch then? Being that it's a two wire system I can't see how it could work the dome light and not the radio but there are a lot of things corvette that confuse my smallish brain LOL

You're correct if the courtesy lights come on the door pin switch must be working and the wiring from the door switch to the CCM must be good.
Both door pin switches are monitored by the CCM.
The CCM controls the door ajar light, the DAB relay and the
courtesy lights. The door switches are also monitored by the alarm circuit which is part of the CCM module.
Conclusion is the circuit internal to the CCM that monitors the
driverside door pin switch is partially working because it can turn
on the courtesy lamps but not control the DAB or the door
ajar indicator but the passenger side switch can.
If you don't want to replace the CCM a work around so the DAB
works for the drivers door is to swap the door pin input wires
at the CCM between the driverside and passengerside switches.
Not an easy task because of the CCM's location.
