Default Spark Plug change interval?

I have a '86 coupe with cast iron heads and stock motor. how often do I need to change spark plugs? it's been about 12,000 so far.

I have replaced the injectors with ones from FIC and changed the distributor cap, rotor and wires when I did the plugs 12,000 ago.

I have not yet changes the one O2 sensor on the driver's side and I just turned 87,000.

not as smooth as it was under wide open throttle.
new fuel pump, filter and 40psi at the regulator

They say you can go twice as long if you put in platinums but at this rate it will be 1,322 years before I get 60K on mine.
