Just got my new American Hydrocarbon rear spoiler installed on my 95 Coupe. Here's a few pics.

Looks good to me. It kind of looks natural to me. I know some people won't like it.

I like it, does anyone have a picture of a 84-90 with this spoiler on it?

I'm not a spoiler fanatic but I think that one is tasteful. Well done.

Right now I have it attached with automotive double sided tape. Not sure if I am going to try and mechanically attach it or not.

Was this a custom piece? I looked at their website and only saw C4 interior products.

I believe the price is something in the area of 450 bucks now.
No telling how expensive the chin spoiler might cost.

I had a feeling that it would be more than what most were willing to pay. Several Spoiler threads have come around and most people were only willing to pay about half as much.

Guys American Hydrocarbon is coming out with some nice stuff.
As far as I know they are doing CF/fiberglass hoods, tops, chin spoilers and this wing.

Default Boxcar 2cents

SoAlVette,

I think it looks just as we intended, clean, simple and subtle. I think it is a great addition to your ride that truly slides now. Looks like its cutting the wind sitting still.

Question, can you speak on workmanship and quality aspect. I think the reader's may want to hear how well it is or is not made. You were no part of this little project like Polo92 and myself.

Thanks

First let me start by saying thanks to Polo92, Boxcar and Pat at AH for working together to produce such a great spoiler. It turned out exactly as I had hoped. Really quality product, and worth the wait.

As with any mod, there is always a little tweaking involved. We are talking about mounting a very rigid piece of fiberglass the width of our car onto a thin walled piece of molded rubber. If it were being mounting on fiberglass or onto a metal body you could expect them all to fit exactly the same. Depending on the conditions of your bumper, how long you car has sat in the sun, the mounting of the rubber bumper to the body, and a number of other factors that could be involved, the fit and finish can vary.

In my case, the double sided tape just does not give it the fit that I would prefer. I tend to be kind of **** when it comes to my car. In my case I think I am going to hard mount mine, once I decide exactly the best way to do so. The tape works fine, but if you have dips or waves in your bumper, it is going to make a difference. No fault of the spoiler at all.

Again, thanks to all involved in this project. I really appreciate the work involved in producing this spoiler. Anyone thinking of purchasing one of these should go ahead and do so, you will not be disappointed.

Just curious. Wheres the spoiler for the early C4?
Ya know, the one that didn't need to be re-engineered??
Just make a mold and pop 'em out?

Frankly Boxcar this project has been a real disappoint for many here.
Starting with pricing expectations and followed with delayed deliveries.
Sorry dude, you need to know that a lot of us feel screwed on this project.

There I said it. And maybe others will chime in and maybe not.

Believe me JrRifleCoach I truly understand and I do appreciate your honest opinion. As I stated in the beginning Polo92 and I were committed to the final fit and finish. I wish we had more reviews and I look forward to them, but SoLoVette review is a positive note.

As for the pricing Sir, and again as stated in the beginning, "pricing is completely up to Hydor or A.H. Neither Polo92 or myself stand to earn one dime so it makes no difference to me how many A.H. sells. If there were anything I could do about pricing I would. I'm sure A.H. I reading the posts and is hearing the concerns and disappointments of potential costumers, but that is his business decision.

I do feel that Polo92 and I met our end of the obligation that was communicated in the thread "Attention C4 Spoiler Buyers" according to SoAlVette review.

Thanks Again for honest feedback.
