There really isn't anything "wagon" about it either.
Still only a 2 seat sport coupe.
It just has the wagon "look", by modifying the hatch back a little.

The only "wagon" that remotely looks good and has the power behind it is the Audi RS6. That 6XX hp 4-door Porsche family sports sedan is ugly too.

I think this wagon is good looking and it's definitely FBA...
But even with seating for 5, critical acclaim and a real cargo area....it still wasn't a seller.

Few years ago I started a thread asking if people would like a Corvette SUV. Many said no, and few said yes. Looks like an evolution started. Porsche did it, and now they also have a 4-door car.
Corvette SUV.... give it time
For now we get the Station Wagon for gear head MILFS.
Somebody got smart, and put the gas tank door on the right.

Porsche is a brand. Corvette is a model. You don't see any rear engined, 911 SUV's, do you?
Chevy makes sporty SUB's already. Trailblazer SS, for example (though it's no Porsche Cayenne Turbo S!)
I'd love to see a Caddy "V" SUV, or some other high quality SUV from GM, but the Corvette is a model. IDK how you make a sub model on a completely different platform.

Good point.
And the SRX (although never a "V") can only be had with a V6 anymore. You're right. And that is too bad.

as if the new corvette didn't resemble a Ferrari enough, this "wagon" effort looks like a Ferrari FF;

The Corvette wagon has been done before. As prototypes and as customs
The wagon style is geared to sell to the European market. (they love there wagons.)
I like it, the fact it goes 200 mph, makes me like it even more. Some wagons look as good or even better than there sedan counterparts. My wife drives a Dodge Magnum, which is basically a Chrysler 300.( She's a photographer, so she needed the extra room.) I think it looks a lot sharper than the sedan. I also like the Cadillac CTS wagon, very similar lines to the Magnum.
However, The Trans Am wagon in Tom400CFIs' post, is just hideous.
