Think it would be worth it?
93 6spd black/black 1800.00 with no title? Been told it runs and drives great, interior in is about an 8, paint is about 4. I'm going to look at it this weekend and will post pics. I just trying to get an idea before I drive out, trying to figure out what kind of scratch to take with me.
I have no idea what I'll do with it, but I know the trans is worth at least 8-1000 bucks.
What is y'alls take?

...... Have the fuzz run the vin # ... make sure its not stolen ... there might also be a title loan out on it ... no money to pay off loan = no title ... the repo man won't care how much you paid for it ...........

I'm not worried about all that stuff. It comes with the T-22b inspection form, mean its not stolen. Not worried but the title part, I'm going to part it out.

As far as a track car, I have enough projects. Trying to raise extra money to feed the 95. I have just about went through everything I got from the sale of my red 94.

Why part it out if it runs and drives great? Buy it, apply for title, and sell to - you should be able to double the $1800 easy, probably a bit more.

Until I see and drive it, I'm expecting the worst and hoping for the best.

I forgot to update this.
The little car runs and drives great, the paint is rough, but except for the drivers bolster, the interior is good. I ended up getting it for 1500.00. I am not going to part it right now, I'm going to try to get a title and drive it.
Pics to come later.

Congrats, you can't go wrong for that kind of money.

No title
Worst case if you can't get a title and/or license it, you have a good source of parts. If that happens, get a rolling chassis with a title, move everything required from the unlicensed one to the rolling chassis and you have a running car. Additionally, anything left over could be sold to recover some of your costs.
Just a thought.

I'd buy it. A 96 has all the upgrades done to the early C4s. I bet if you put the ZF6, and Dana 44 for sale it will sell within 12 hours.
The J55 will sell. If the interiors are black you can sell few of those parts. The targa top would sell at the right price, and many others.
Go for it.

It's a 93 not a 96, but it does have the J55 brakes. It's kind of a weird optioned car. Its FE1 base suspension, but with the J55s, but it has all kinds of interior options, sport seats, dual power seat, bose gold with cassette/ CD and changer, both tops, and 78k miles. I think it'll make a good driver, if I can get it titled. Besides a title and paint, it only needs tires and alignment.
I thought the car was junked like that Copper Metallic one. If the car drives, you can always flip it. 78,000 miles is nothing for a SBC. Good luck with it.
