When I first got the car, under hard acceleration I would get a brake light flash and then the ABS light. It would stay on unless I turned the car off and back on again. Over time, I would have to add brake fluid. I had a weep in my brake system at a banjo bolt. I replaced my front brake lines and had all four calipers rebuilt. Since then the initial problem doesn't happen.

But...

Under hard acceleration, from time to time my brake light does a long flash and then goes out. Is this normal? The ABS light doesn't come on.


Is there anything else I should look for?

You NEED to have the brake fluid at or very near the MAX mark on the reservoir all the time. I run into this when I auto-x, even down just a bit and it deactivates the ABS.
