Are you talking about opening up the C6 capsule and using the projectors, or are you talking about plastic surgery to the C4?

If you do it take some photo,s. I think your idea sounds cool, but execution seems most complicated. C4 outline with those lights !!! Plus no headlight motor/relay/switch/ difficulties... Purist won't agree but I like it. Put it in a kit w/inst how and I'd buy it...

Do you have one to compare the curvature of the lamp vs the hood? I'll bet that would look great!
Maybe somebody can photo shop something together for viewing.

Thank you Alberto, the Fiat Coupe (and that C4) is what inspired me to ask the question. I have looked around for a set of the Fiat Coupe headlights, and cant find them or they are really expensive.
Seems like the entire C6 headlight assembly could be had for a reasonable cost, housing, ballasts everything. I just wasnt sure if the would fit. Obviously, the hole opening for the lights would have to change dramatically to fit them in, but since its a ridged setup it seems very do-able.
For the Purists, people do crazy stuff to their cars all the time, I have seen plenty of disgusting body kits and such. New headlights would greatly update the appearance of the C4, and take it out of the "80's" look and make it much more modern.
If i can find a setup, I will try it. And before anyone has a heart attack, my car is a 180k mile, driven under a chain link fence SALVAGE TITLE car, so cutting up the hood is no big deal. Would you rather me be using this car, or have it sent to the scrap heap? ;-)

i personally consider this modd very well balanced .it gives a clean sharp design to the hood,a very sporty look,it eliminates a weak point since the pop up motors and gears are often prone to fail.More you can take advantage from the new projectors design that make useful an HID system.Compared to that pletora of freaky body kit it seems to me the best looking upgrade to the design.

This C4, from the Netherlands, I believe, and now wrecked (I think) is the one that I remembered really liking.
That Fiat photo is not viewable, to me, dammit.
In my case, these:
are going in here:
It may look simple, but is not, if one is to retain the aiming mechanisms and have a professional-type place for the ballast, etc. The stock aiming mechanism is plastic so adhesion to the CF is doable with the proper materials. As these are setup, the 'bubble' is only required over one light and it will be minor. Any lower would block the beam due to the lower front edge of the still-stock opening. I think some bubble looks better than a simple flat sheet of clear.
Notice, we'll not use the C6 turn signal lights.
The CF will accent the other black portions of the car and while the pic shown doesn't show it well, in reality the test fit (with sticks) looks AWESOME!
Now, how "expen$ive" for those Fiat lights.
There's a few on fleabay, pricing all over, up to $1300/pr. I find the fiat butt-ugly and wonder about the nose slope, for proper alignment of the beam. I'd love to see a pair installed on a C4, my Italian pal.
A few years back, a guy did this:FIAT Headlights in C4

The projectors from a pair of scrap C6 units will go in holes in these CF base units. These were made from hand-made, mirrored molds and have the curves of the hood.
The rub is the plastic assemblies behind the C6 bulb assemblies, which contains the aiming mechanism, plus. The vertical rear piece of that assy is a bit short for the proposed unit. Also yet to be decided is if, and what sort of, base will go under this piece.
First the C6 lens covers were removed. The turn signal makes it too wide to fit into the C4 headlight hole and is not needed anyway.

More important: many, many older folks relate their Nash stories and an equal number of young-uns learn there was once more than Fords and Chevys made in the USA.
Real car guys appreciate the creativity AND the survivors.
