This was my '85 on my red Kwiklift. (I like your black one better.)

Thanks. The Medium Blue has always been one of my favorite colors.

Do you still have your '85?

Finally got the plenum removed on my '87 after discovering the hidden bolts.

For others, keep in mind the runners have a bolt in the reverse direction! As in, you'll need to access the right's from the left of plenum.

Also a good idea to have a T40 bit that is very very long or 1/4 drive, little tight around the runners. A 3/8 short socket ain't gonna do it.

Yup fun job!
When you reinstall use gasket adhesive to hold you runner gaskets on. The plastic tabs only do so much.

After sitting for 9 months with a broken tranny, I finally got my car back today. After a wash I took it for a quick spin. So happy to have it running again.

The clutch master was bled to replace the old fluid. I also put braided steel lines on along with flushing out the old brake fluid.
The undercarriage cleaning will have to wait until spring.

They are Russel, I picked them up from Jegs. Here's the link http://www.jegs.com/i/Russell/799/692180/10002/-1

The original lines were still on the car.

Thanks for the link. The '87 I'm working on has the original lines on it also. I plan on ordering a new set this month.

My '92 had missing front left speakers. I ordered a cheap woofer and tweeter and they didn't sound good at all. I then replaced the capacitors in that amp. Sound still terrible. A little research revealed Bose enjoys being proprietary and their woofers are 1 ohm ( I put a 4 or 8 ohm, can't remember).

I ordered a working, original front left speaker housing minus amp off e-bay. I removed my amp and screwed it into the housing. Back in business.

Several weeks ago I replaced my rear amp caps so I've done 3 of the 4 amps now. Front R always sounded fine. I'm happy with how it sounds now, no popping or distortion and adequate volume.

Replaced the hood bumper pads and readjusted the hood. Took the silver lady out for her first drive of the new calendar year.

Tuesday (17 Jan 2017) Drove 4hrs to check out and purchase a DN 4+3 unit to rebuild and replace into my '86. Seller and I both forgot differences between the model years. His was out of a '84. Mine is a '86. Major differences between the units.

Upside to the trip is he had a new, still in the case set of special service tools for the DN units including the depth micrometers. The set came home with me.

Started her up for the first time since like late October. Turned over, started and ran like it had just ran yesterday. Moved her out of the shop and let her run a while to get her up to temp. Moved her to get a ladder in place to install new wireless access point in the garage so I have internet out there now. Put her back away for the rest of the winter.

Changed the oil in the '87. Took me longer to clean up the mess I made when I accidentally tipped over the drain pan than it did to do the job.

I replaced the gear oil in the dif and did an oil change. Now all of the fluids have been changed.
We had a nice spring day here in the middle of winter so we went for a ride.
We had to go without the top seeing that I sent it out last week to have the blue panel replaced
