My custom dash panel is coming along. It should be done by next week.

It's always nice to see someone using imagination and ingenuity to solve a problem. Congratulations on fixing it without a trip to the parts counter!

Re-mounted intake manifold and finished re-attaching exhaust manifolds. Wrapped bottom of EGR tube, goodbye nasty silver thing!

A four day Iowan weekend with 60+ degrees in February? That's just not nice Mother Nature. At least I had the garage door open most of the day.

Have an '84 with the Z51 suspension. Just realized after almost a year of ownership that the driver's side wheels were on the wrong ends of the car. Perfect day to jack it up and swap the wheels.

Put on a polish and drove for a couple of hours. Can't miss the opportunity when it's 60 and sunny in February.

Nice sunday drive, breaking in a new torque converter and transmission pump.
i also tweaked the 3-4 clutch while it was apart, so that's wearing in as well...

Thanks man!

It's been an adventure getting this thing running the way i wanted.
it's an absolute joy to drive now, and i don't need a radio at all.

If you notice, I'm working hard to not spin the tires at take off (even though i really want to).

Welcome. I'm almost finished with the '87 I've been working on all winter. I have a few more weeks of work and I can't wait for it to be ready. I haven't even given thought to the exhaust yet. But, I love the way yours sounds.

I love the sound, nice lightly cammed idle, the almost exotic tone higher in the rpm (xpipes).

Exhaust system is from melrose.
long tube headers, 3in pipes, and i had them send me a second xpipe.
mufflers are flowmaster 40's

Actually it was saturday, I finished putting on the Banski suspension upgrade on my 86 and took it out for a short run - love it. Next is getting the alignment done then tires to go along with the Reproduction C6 Z06 rims that I found with the correct backspacing on them.

Then it's time to do a little driving and enjoy it for a while.

A bit close this time but didn't do anything but warm it up and drive it over. I think the ol Corvette deserves a tune up now.

Got ARH headers mocked up around my Champ road race oil pan. They don't touch. I'm going to add 1/8" spacers to gain a little more clearance.
