I took mine for possibly the last ride of the season.... It is currently snowing. I opened the garage door, covered sweetie and said good night and see you in the spring ....NOT! I will take a peak under the cover every so often, like every day! Hehehe!

I got a K & N triple (same as SLP claw intake) out and cleaned and oiled the filters.
I also cleaned up the fuel rail covers and painted the letters in dark red metallic (to match the car color). I think they came out pretty good.
I just wish it wasn't snowing right now. Hopefully not too much longer until the salt is off the roads.

I thought folks forgot about this thread.
I got a Harley recently and been neglecting my admired Admiral Blue vette(shame on me).
I will turn on battery charger and hit the road tomorrow ...

Changed out the rear shocks on my 85 yesterday. The old ones must have been original to the car. I was able to completely compress them with one hand, and they didn't expand back at all.

Spent about half of the day today detailing the Vette.........most the time spent on the exterior. Got the paint looking pretty decent -- smooth as glass now.
First washed the car really good and then I "clayed" it using Nanoskin AutoScrub. This really took off majority of the contaminants.
Then removed all the swirl marks using Meguiar's Paint Correction system. I've used this system on several cars and it works great.
After polishing I used Rejex to seal the paint and give it that final shine. First time using Rejex but people swear by it. I will apply another coat maybe this weekend.

I went to O'Reilly's yesterday and bought a new wash mitt and some cleaners, tire wet for the car. I also bought a new plastic bucket for the soapy water I'm going to use. It's still too sloppy out to drive around, but I can now wash the car and shine it up for that first good, sunny day.
PS I never buy my parts at O-Reilly's; they're almost all made in China and they suck! But cleaners, oil, etc it's a whatever.

Don't forget to get the lubrication for the Autoscrub. Also works great as a quick detailer --- smells great too. Very cheap at Amazon, $14 for a gallon free shipping.

Applying Rejex to the car is really easy and comes off easy as well.
In terms of performance, it does give it a great shine. However speaking of protecting the car's finish from the elements and the ease of cleanup, time will tell since its a fair weather car only.

Got a new headliner for my fiberglass targa top. The targa top came from a parts car that had been in an accident, and the original headliner had blood on it (the driver was mostly ok, but the car was kaput). I decided to glue it in rather than using the velcro.

I copied down several of the products you're using, Shaft. In the meantime, I also found this site, which mentioned many of the same things (including clay lube).
I'd never heard of the clay trick (or if I did, I'd forgotten!); just another tool in the bucket.
