My C4 has company
I bought a C5 6 speed today. After 21 years of C4 ownership I figured I wanted a LS motor car. Totally different machine as far as driving. I've rode in 5s before but never drove one. This C5 reminds me of a nice refined car whereas my C4 is more sporty and unrefined. Glad the 4 is a ragtop as that thing will still get use on nice sunny days.
Who else has both and still drives the 4 a lot?

I've had several C4 Vettes but I bought a 2001 coupe in 2002 and kept it for three years. Sold it and bought a C6 had it for 4 years hardly ever drove it.
Bought a 1995 ZR-1 after having the C6 for 2 years. I started driving the ZR-1 and the C6 sat in the garage. Sold the C6 and bought a 1991 ZR-1. Now I have two ZR-1 and couldn't be happier.
The C5 and C6 just don't have any character, boring to drive, in my opinion.

C4 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
My 95 was my daily driver for 6 years starting in 2005. In 2011 my wife bought me an 04 for my 60th.
Now I drive the C5 to work during the week and I drive the C4 on the weekend.
You're right the C4 feels more attached to the road where the C5 feels more refined.

This C5 feels a lot like the 300C AWD Chryslers I've had, which BTW is a fantastic car. It really reminds me of them except it only has 2 doors. I was very impressed with the gas mileage coming home today, averaged almost 30 real MPG over 150 miles, that's pretty impressive.

Not exactly a C5 but I have a 6 speed GTO. When I first bought it I didn't look at the C4 for over a month.
That is a nice looking car. I love black but hate cleaning them.

94Flv- The car is clean and unmolested. I didn't limit myself to stock but don't mind it either.

Nice looking car.
I have a couple C5's and have had C4's for about 25 years.
I just bought a '95 6M this winter because I like driving the C4's. The C4's and C5's feel quite different. I trade off between them.

I have a 94 heads/cam/4.10 M6 LT1 and a 2001 LPE twin turbo Z51 M6 vert. I probably drive them about the same amount of miles which is usually around 1500 miles/year each. The 94 feels like an old hot rod, and the 2001 feels like a refined supercar.

My 90 is the same way. It's a heads, cam, blah blah car. It does feel like a true older sports car. If I keep the 98 it's getting a SC and that's it. I'm done dicking with all the other BS. I want the power 2% of the time and the other 98% I want good fuel mileage and it to be docile. I think I'm getting old.

Slick looking ride there Hippy
Love the C5 interior it seems roomy and like the gauge layout much better
With ya on the SC...put a whopping 200 mi on my car in almost 3 yrs.
SC gets ya more than all that h/c stuff without the drama, easy power.
