Actually I have been considering that. I know at one time there was someone on the forum making them that literally bolted in.

What a SUPER job!
A D44 should be plenty strong and with the automatic in there now and a D36 might live to a ripe old age. The rear end breakage usually comes from the hit they take when shifting gears. An automatic applies the torque constantly and just adds a little bit at shift time without the on/off slam of gear lash that a standard hits one with. You can push something pretty hard before it breaks, but if you hit it you can cause a lot more damage with a lot less force.

Hi Guys thanks for the inquiry.

I actually have been up to a lot with the car.

I went to a lighter battery pack that is higher voltage and 300 pounds lighter. Capable of 400 horse and the torque is now 750 ft pounds LOL

new look installed

Front battery pack 30 100 ah cells

Front pack wired up.

On board battery charger, and zilla controller which I had updated to accept 375 volts and 2000A

Here's the new rear pack of 78 100ah cells for a total of 108 cells these are capable of 800 amp draw or a little over 276 Kw

View of the rear cargo area. There is still room to put stuff in the rear.

View with the cover on the battery box.

I have hit 5 car shows in 5 weeks, I actually am now readjusting the drive train angles a bit. I have a little vibration about 70 mph.

Thanks for inquiring.

Going to more cells and half the capacity I'm in the range of about 80 miles at 65-70 mph. but I shed 300 pounds of weight in batteries alone. This is also with the motors set at set with 292 HP and 725 ft lbs of torque. So I could probably milk more range by dialing things back a little bit... BUT this is way too much fun!

I had to work out a couple issues with drive train angles. I had to cut some of the tunnel out to get the rear of the transmission up about another 1.5" I was getting vibrations from the drive shaft at about 70 mph, I resolved those yesterday.
