On my 86 when I turn on the headlights I hear a beeping why is this both my headlights work thanks

There is a chime in the dash when you have the headlights on without the engine running, there is no beeping just "ding"ding"ding"ding. or when you open the door with keys in the ignition to remind you.
You can remove the chime.

My 85 doesnt make beeping noises?

I guess its the chime where is it located thanks

Before you go digging behind the DIC for the Chime Module, check your GAGES Fuse!

Well I changed the fuse and the noise went away and my anti lock warning light went off how come my gauges always worked even with the blown fuse
