Strange steering sound
Today I took out my 1988 C4 and when I turned the steering wheel left or right I can hear a sound like soft metal rubbing together... I lifted the bonnet and I think its coming from the steering somewhere... It's a strange sound and hard to describe... if you leave the steering left or right hard it stays but if you turn it back to straight wheels it goes away.
Does anyone have and idea what it is... I have it booked in next Tuesday for a service so I'm sure they will know, but wanted to take it for a run on the weekend but not with this sound.

I think I found the problem.
The Power Steering Hydraulic Fluid Reservoir had very little fluid in it... it didn't even register on the stick... added fluid and I think it's fixed.
Might have a small leak in the hose... will get that checked out soon.
