When you take your car to the track, you want to know you can charge aggressively into the corners and be sure your brakes will shear off that speed—giving you maximum control without unnecessarily sacrificing pace. Just call us and our racing specialists will help you determine the perfect brake pad compound for your car and your style of driving. Carbotech brakes are designed to allow you to “Go Deep!” while being particularly friendly to your rotors.

Hey Adam, I'm doing a C5 front conversion and want to use the car for autocross, some track days and mainly to run the open desert races like the silver state and such. Rear brakes will be new c4 calipers. Not worried bout dust much. Recommend me something !

Carbotech™ XP8™
A high torque brake compound with a wide operating temperature range of 200°F-1250°F+ (93°C to 676°C+). Carbotech™ XP8™ is the first of our racing compounds. Good initial bite at race temperatures, high coefficient of friction, excellent modulation and release characteristics. Extremely high fade resistance and very rotor friendly. Perfect for track day use with any tire and can still be driven safely to and from the track. Carbotech™ does NOT recommended XP8™ as a daily driven street pad due to elevated levels of dust and noise. Carbotech™ XP8™ is a great compound on the front & rear of most open wheel and sports racers.
MOTUL RBF600 The world's best selling brake fluid. Developed for all forms and levels of racing, the RBF600 is one of the most popular fluid's on the market today. Dry: 312°C (594°F)
Wet: 216°C (421°F) 16.9oz/ .53 quarts
.50 Liter/ 500ml $22.50

Hey Adam, do the plain face rotors really benefit braking? Simply cus I like the look of the slotted or drilled rotors. Even the Centric speed rotors are cool looking.

I prefer them because they tend not to crack so fast. Slotted are fine also but they tend to act like a cheese grader to your pads so, you may loose some pad life. Drilled look good and are fine for street use on track they tend to crack a lot easier and faster.
