Default Nitto NT555

Hi guys...been shopping around for new tires for my 93 coupe. This time of year there appears to be a real shortage of 275/40/17's. My first choice is the Bridgestone RE760, good reviews, no stock anywhere. Can't find out when they may go back into production?
Anyone used the Nitto NT555 ,they are one of the few brands in stock?
Vette not driven hard, maybe once a month up the mountains and back. Otherwise mostly SoCal freeway.
Thanks

I've been running the Nitto Invo on my C5 for the past two years and have been very happy with the performance.

Isn't the HT a truck tire??

I'm using them on the front of my car. Pretty sticky around curves on the street.

I put 555s on my 96 this spring on my new to me C5 wheels. 245 17s on the front and 275 18 on the rear. Handles well and is quieter and smoother than the Sumi's I took off. Great tire for the money.

Got them all around on mine; on my second set (180,00+ miles on my '95). Extremely pleased with both sets.

Nice tire especially when you consider the price point.

Nothing but good to say about the Nitto 555 and the 555r (drag radial) tires. Very sticky and handle well in the rain or wet pavement too, I find. Very pleased for a street/highway driven tire; favor as well or better than the BFG KDs and the Goodyear F1 GS D3s (especially on the drag strip AND spirited mountain road driving. Excellent price point too!

Default 555's

I'm running them on my pro-street Dodge. They handle great, are quiet and just sticky enough to meet my needs.

When I need to replace the tires on the Vette I will probably go with Nittos.

I too am a big fan of the NT555's. Got about 3 years and lots of hwy miles on mine. Still have lots of tread left and still work well in the rain and are plenty sticky and not noisy in the dry. They just might get too old date-wise before I wear them out! I guess I need to be more aggressive...

Please post pics when you get them on. I'm going to be looking for my GS come spring. These are what I'm looking at.

The pix are not taken to specifically highlight the 555 tires, but maybe you can get an idea...

Sorry. Having troubles w/ my picture site at the moment, but you can Google Nitto 555 and 555r for a nice view.
