Who's going to Eureka Springs?
Who else is planning to go to the Corvette meet in Eureka Springs? I'm planning to leave Thur with the Lonestar Corvette club. I'll be driving a 1996 Polo Green LT4.

Was planning on it but with upcoming surgery my daughter said I shouldn't. So I canceled my reservations. Plus my fuel economy is not where I want it for the economy run. Why should I listen to my daughter? She's a doctor!

LOL I'd listen to her as well. Most important thing is your health as you can always go the following year. This is my first year there with a Corvette to I'm excited. What Corvette do you have?

I have a 1993 "Ruby". The reason I would like to go is to enter the fuel economy contest. In years past, I have seen results of over 40 mpg. I think last year it was around 36. My last fill up I averaged 34.5 mpg so I'm getting closer, still have some things to work on. Most of it is driving skills and tuning the computer for a slightly leaner air to fuel ratio.

Every hotel in the area will be full of Corvettes.
If you don't already have a room, you probably won't find any vacancies.
People book these rooms a year in advance most of the time.
Eureka Springs isn't a very big town.

You might try the Razorback Lodge. Our whole group has canceled our trip to Eureka Springs. We have just gotten tired of the rally, it just seems to have been going down hill the last 4 or 5 years.

I had reservation for Joy motel which seemed to be the only one with rooms. They were only a two star bottom line and cheap. I also noticed that the lodging placesraised there rates for the weekend event. I searched on line using one of those search engines to find lowest rates. It was $ 197 for three nights. http://www.booking.com/index.html?et...7Iqboi9eavV7uR

Keep us posted to those going. If anyone enters the fuel economy run let us know how it was and what the route and type of driving it was. Hopefully next year I'll be able to go.
