Default Funfest - Mid America

anyone attend the event this weekend? I have not been since 2007; have not been able to make it since then for various reasons.....curious to see how it was by those who attended.

Yeah I was there Thursday for the fun run, and all day Saturday. I had a great time and came home Thursday with another corvette, so now I am up to 3 vettes. I think I have a addiction.

WOW, not much action on this thread. LOL I wanted to go but wasn't able to either. My dad and I were going to go together, he has an '11 GS but neither one of us went. I myself haven't been since '09 I think. When he started charging for glass cars. It was always a lot of fun and close.

The turn out was pretty good. Lots of Corvette's. Dont know why no one is really commenting on funfest. but oh well.
Effingham is only about 100 miles from me so it makes it easy for me to run up and back each day.

Spent all weekend there considering that I live fifty miles northwest of Effingham. Been going for nine years and it's still a great event. It definitely is C4 friendly.

Good to hear.

We were at MidAmerica for a stop on the NCM caravan and I was impressed with the people there.

We're planning on going to funfest next year.

MY son and I went Friday and Saturday. Our 1st time, so don't have anything to compare it to. But we had a great time. Lots of corvettes. We have an 81 and 95. Drove the '95. Lots of C4's there. 340 miles one way for us.

people were real friendly. Weather was great, my guess 80's somewhat over cast and windy-both help make it nice to sit and watch.

We made a reservation for next year.

Nice,

I ask because I miss going with my parents (who moved to Florida this year) and others; the drive was as much fun as the event as you always ran into a caravan of Vettes along Hwy.70; I live only 35 west of St. Louis so its an easy haul; seems like I just never have it worked in my schedule when it comes every September.

I guess 38 Special was playing this year on Saturday night; will try to make it next year! It is surely the biggest Corvette event nearest my neck of the woods.

My wife and I used to go in our '03 we had. Always had a lot of fun. We live just south of St. Louis and its only a couple of hours from us. The weather was perfect for a drive on hwy 70! I would love to take my son who will be 4 next year. He loves daddy's Corvette and his grandpa's. We love running with a bunch of other Vettes down the road. Maybe next year.
