YEP...I have seen this more times than I care to remember. I then get into the reservoir with Q-Tips and get it spotless clean.
Funny how has it has been mentioned before in the Forum that the brake system and fluid is generally the one system or fluid that is neglected/overlooked. It is an important system to keep an eye on.....don't get me wrong.... but (in my opinion) it is even more important on the 1965-1982 Corvettes.

Dale,
My car was flat bedded to the paint shop so it went in place. I had loosened the mounting plate from inside before and he removed it there. Theres four bolts that come through the halo. To get to them you need to remove the halo trim and there are patch seals you have to remove to get to the nuts. To remove the glass from the plate you need a spanner wrench to loosen the glass mounting bolts. Hope that helps.

If you don't mind...have a question...and from the looks of this thread...how do I remove the door panel form my 1990? Is there a screw behind door lock lever? Can't get the plastic piece off that behind the door lock lever and the door opener handle...Thanks!

Hey mate I have removed the glass from the car already
What I want todo it remove the flat panel that the stop light is mounted to
So all the glass is seperate form all the parts that need to be painted
There is 2 special nuts (with 2 holes in them)
Looks like u need a special tool
Like one u use to take the wheel of a grinder

To be honest with you...I do not remove this panel for painting. But that is just me. I only remove it if the bond has broken and the glass can move on the panel.

Ok thanks dub
I will ask the painter what he would like
I'm hoping he will let me leave it on
Thanks mate
UOTE=DUB;1590185388]Just in case you were not aware of it....Removing the panel that is secured to your back glass ...it is also bonded to the glass. The two special nuts are NOT the only thing holding this plate to the back glass.

I removed mine, yes it's bonded but if you are careful it's rather easy to remove, you have to have proper scrapers and DO NOT pry up, you will crack the glass.

B-Pillar weatherstrip - done!
Tonights mission was to glue in the B-pillar weatherstrip. I decided to mask off the car to do this. Call me crazy, call me cautious, call me both or anything else. But a roll of that paper is $10 and the time to mask it is probably less time than trying to clean weatherstrip adhesive out of my carpet.
To be honest Ive been dreading this but it wasnt so bad. First I cleaned the weatherstrip with lacquer thinner to remove any mold release. Wipe on then wipe dry. Then wiped down the car and tracks. For install I kept both corners in place to keep even tension on the weatherstrip then started on the driver side and worked my way over to the passenger side. Ran a bead on the car and weatherstrip, let them set up then put the weatherstrip in place. Very glad I had paper laid down for this.
I elected to remove my seats since they are simple to pull and it gave me plenty of room to work. Found a 38 special round on the driver side and salt and pepper packet on the passenger side. No money or unclaimed lotto tickets unfortionately.
Put the roof back on and am very happy with the seal.
