Is this C4 worth 30k?
Sorry for all the CL listings ive been posting
But... I have a Friday afternoon question for you all.
We all know the real value/price/worth of a car is whatever someone is willing to pay for it. That being said, what are your opinions on this listing?? BEAUTIFUL C4.. but is it worth 30k??

That is not a special year or anniversary model so price is high
even with 12k miles. That looks like a Mecom or barrett/Jackson
auction price. I would get a qualified price from appraiser first
if considering to buy. Good luck.

A very nice Grand Sport coupe can sell for around 30K. The convertibles can go for a lot more. There were only 1000 Grand Sports built and of that, only 810 were coupes. All GS models had unique VIN's (at least the last 6 numbers).

No, not trying to say it's fake, just commenting on the seller's words.
I'm sure it's real but I could buy "two slashes" too.
Just struck me as amusing the way he put it.
Like you said, C4LT1, pointing out the intake is more credible
in proving what the car is.
As far as the asking price, he can always come down, unless he has a firm reserve.
Nobody ever told me "Hey, you're asking too little, let me pay more".....

The vin tells the tale... The last 6 digits would be 000001 thru 001000.
And yes, this is in the ballpark.
Remember, a 10 mile GS Vert, with red guts, sold at B-J for $80k a few years ago... that sale has lifted the prices of clean GS' ever since.

I think that the last six digits of the 1996 Grand Sport Vin would be 600001 to 601000. The 6 is a unique digit in the 96 VIN sequence and identifies the unit as a Grand Sport.
Could be wrong, but just my two cents.

All 96 LT4s had the same motor as a GS.The over inflated prices for GS years ago seems to have soften, priced right out of the market. That $80,000 convertible from a few years ago, dont think that will happen again for a long time.

If it's a real grand sport. With low mileage, yes it's worth $30,000+
Are 99% correct you're looking for T56 to be in the Vin number then the number of the car
