Corvette Mods HID Light Instruction Help

Drifting
The instructions I got for my fog lights were complete garbage. I had emailed tech support with no email back from them until the third which told them posting on the forums seemed like a better route. They emailed back and said something like have you tried contacting an installer? This was after I described my concern in detail. Not much help.
Anyways hopefully you got it figured it out, I won't be considering any future products from them.

I received the missing harness from Corvette Mods today. I'm going to try to get them installed tomorrow and hoping it goes well as I want to drive the car to Phoenix on Sunday for a week.
Looks like the new harness plugs into the new ballasts on both sides and new HID lights but only into the driver's side stock headlight female connector (#10). The passenger side stock headlight connector does not get reused? Does that sound correct? If that is the case, I'll probably put a plastic bag over it and wire tie it on to protect it.
I'll post my progress photos as I go.

Yes. Everything is controlled by the relay module on the driver's side. HID lights do not really have a high beam. There is a shutter inside the bulb that is moved out of the way to allow more light output.

For the HID fogs.
If I were you, I'd set the ballast first and connect the harness to it. Next, there are these two pins. You connect the pins to the factory fog wiring. Match the black with black(see wires from ballast and factory wiring). Get the bulb, connect it to the ballast, and gently slide it down the area where the turn signal bulb is. Slide the bulb down there as much as you can. Get under the car(no need to jack it up), open the fog light door. Look for bulb and where it goes in. Twist it in place, and you should be good. I know my instructions suck, but I hope it helps.

HID headlights are done! Well almost, I have to go get a couple nuts for the grounds but the work if I clip the ground wire to a ground stud.
It was actually pretty simple once I got it all figured out. I am going to start a new thread with step by step instructions as I stopped to take photos of each step.
I'm going to do the fogs after lunch. I looked over 1993C4LT1's instructions and they look pretty simple too. Not sure why they can't provide better installation instructions with the lights. Oh well, mine instructions should clear up any confusion for future buyers.

Okay, had an issue getting a good ground. Got that resolved but now only getting low beam on passenger side, no high beam. Anyone have any idea why that might be?????
Okay, it is actually the passenger low beam that doesn't work. It is stuck on high beam. Could it be a defective light?

Gunnery Sgt Thomas Highway has an expression for this matter . . .
I seem to recall that these things aren't exact cheap. Right about now I'd be sending the damn things back until someone at that company got their act together. ****-poor 4th generation copy machine instructions & missing parts = shove these things!

I agree that there has been some hickups that should not have happened. They included an extra fog light wiring harness instead of the headlight harness which held me up but I know **** happens.
The crappy instructions is inexcusable though and you can't speak to anyone there, they want you to e-mail which takes them a while to respond. Once I post my step by step instructions I'm going to e-mail them a link and tell them they should give me some credit towards future purchases as it will certainly help them sell more HID light kits!
I think the no low beam may be a defective light which is not difficult to swap out now that I have it all wired. The bad part is that it kind of prevents me from driving at night as I will be blinding the crap out of people coming at me. If it was stuck on low beam it would be so bad, I'd just have one high beam but it wouldn't affect other drivers.
I'm headed to Vegas tomorrow and then Phoenix on Monday but plan to do all daytime driving so shouldn't be an issue but hate to get caught at night somewhere. I guess I could always disconnect the passenger side light for now.
The fog lights work great though!

re "not easily deterred" - I hear you, which is why many days you can find me at my work bench repairing/retrofitting/modifying/fabricating things that were already engineered to perfection!
Oh wait, that's me at my dang bench right now working on a weather vane pole that needs a slight modification.....

keep it up, you'll make a convert out of me yet...
and if you do put your installation notes in writing, do it in PDF copyright form. Then they can use them without you signing off in some form, i.e. compensation included!
