85 serpintine tensioner
Trying to change the belt the tensioner on mine is close to the ac evaporator, any clock wise or counter? And there seems to be a notch on top...scratching my head

There is a 1/2" square hole in the tensioner to put a breaker bar in to release the tension on the belt so it can be removed.
When I use a breaker bar it always hits something before the tension is released so I use a ratchet. I found it's easiest to get the belt off the alternator pulley to begin the removal process.
