Bilstein HD or Z51 for F45 96 Coupe
I have a 96 Coupe with the F45 package. The shocks are in perfect working order and no leaks...for now...I love the smooth ride (compared to my 87 base Coupe), it handles quite well but, sooner or later I'll replace the shocks.
Is the F45 package basically a base suspension (leafs/sway bars) with the F45 shocks?
I'm leaning towards the HD's because of that thought. I don't believe that I have the Z51 springs/sway bars.
I've also researched the removal of the shocks and found info about the electronics.
Any information would be appreciated

For questions on the F45, contact 96GS#007 and Phat98. I sold my 96 with the F45 system last March. I do have some info from Phat98 and 96GS#007 that I kept in a Word document. I can send you a copy of the document via email. Contact me via email.
Mine had 98,000 miles, and I was confident that it was no longer working correctly, even though there were no leaks. I could not tell the difference when selecting the different ride control modes.

Take a look at the suspension chart linked below:
http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...usp_chart.html
It looks like it is the same spring rate and sway bar size as the base suspension.

Thank you QCVette, I looked at that and didn't know how to interpret the two different listings for the F45.
Looking at it again, it looks like the second listing for the F45 is tied to the Convertible.
I appreciate your help
