Project C4RT - 1984 Corvette Go-Kart
I wanted to make a build thread on my current project for you guys. I bought an 84 C4 this winter for $2500. I drove it for a few days and decided it would be a lot cooler as a Go-Kart. I told a couple people about this and started ordering LED replacements for all the lighting and a Hawk/EBC braking setup. Then I told my brother and he almost ruined it all by showing me Roadkill's old video, they of course release the newest video racing the C7 a few weeks later.
Either way, my build goes on! We have the car mostly stripped right now. The rear clip and interior carpet should come out over the next few days.
I'm making YouTube videos and timelapses with the GoPro as we make progress. Blipshift saw the 2nd video and actually did sponsor it by sending some product even though we have no idea what it is yet, who doesn't love a surprise? Edit: Blipshift also named the project for me! So I'll stop rambling and post some videos.

Safety Car
So you bought a C5 for only $5000.00 and then just figured a C4 should only worth $2500.00? Maybe only if they were both in such bad shape as that 84. Obviously the 84 was a parts/donor type car to begin with. What did the C5 look like for $5000.00? And what do you plan on doing with this "go-kart"?

The C5 was actually a great car, had 200k on it but was well taken care of. I traded it and a bit of cash for my TBSS.
The 84 was a driver, originally a gold car but was poorly resprayed to green. The C4RT will be a street toy
Here's a quick timelapse of pulling all the HVAC off.

It is! I spent the whole day working on it. Have the passenger seat, carpet, and that side of the console out. I put the main dash support back and zip tied the harness back in. We drove all over and it was a blast. I'll try to get some videos out soon.

Here's some video of a quick drive, a more complete video should be out tonight. The next stage will be taking it all the way down so we won't be able to drive it for some time.

Well, I traded my 08 Daytona 675 for a fully built LM7 5.3 today. This thing better be insane when it's complete. Also bought a set of C5 Y2Ks and should have some tires coming from a buddy. New videos coming soon, the car is almost completely stripped.
