Thinking about tinting my ride as well. I did it to the Passat since we drive to Oklahoma in the summer just about annually, and it gets hot here, too. It really helps. Did the wagon for about $200.
Thought about blue tint, since the Corvette is blue, but apparently that stuff doesn't work well or hold up well, as the local tinting companies don't offer different colors, just the shades of gray.
It doesn't seem to affect the rear window defrost, nor has the defrost had any ill effect on the tinting.
Prolly should wait till I upgrade the window lifts though; I still have the original, slow-*** window gear.

Sorry, I meant "gear" in a more generic way. It's the electric windows with the original tape-type setup. They are slower than molasses in the winter, but they still work.... Which is why I've put other priorities above them.
I had no idea anyone would want roll-up window winders. I have them on my work truck, but that's a bare-bones, basic truck, not a top of the line sports car for its year.

I prefer 'em without, but that's a pretty major job taking the wing off unless you intend to paint the car anyhow.
Find a couple nice profile shots of cars that are like yours but without the wing and consider which style makes you happier. That's where it's all at ..
Also, might be a good idea if you're going to change wheels/tires, to wait to make a wing decision until you see it with new wheels. It's amazing how much that can change things.
