My rare 86
Well I'll be darned..... After looking at 1986 production numbers it appears my bone stock base coupe is actually a low production car and thus rare. In fact it's 1 of 894, according to my late night math. Base coupe production was 27794. Base convertible 7315. There were 34,215 cars with power door locks. My car does not have this luxurious option. Will sell to the highest bidder.

$53.29, but you gotta pay for the gas on my trip . Mine 86 is rare too, only 777 built in my color, heck that's only ,what, 15.5 per state, maybe all in the same big city. Maybe even all on the same neighborhood.

$53.29 - are you crazy? you do realize this car DOESN"T have power door locks - . now, if you should get the car, I do have all the parts to upgrade to PDL's -- $130 + S&H -

Reduced weight has to be worth .0001 on the strip.
Seriously though, do you have Bose and cruise? Most cars I have seen without power locks lack these.

Mine is 1 of 166. It was built radio delete. In the case of my car, i don't think rare equals value to anybody but me.

You are exactly right Bob. According to the website I was looking at the highest production options were 1) power door locks 34,215, 2) cruise control 34,197, 3) power driver seat 33,983 4) Bose 32,478. My car was spared all of this added weight.

I have had C4's for about 27 years and have never seen one without power door locks. I didn't even realize it was an option.
Like others though, rare does not always mean worth more. Perhaps it could have saved the original owner a few dollars and would have been deleted if planning on a track car.
