Default Pictures of worn out headlight gears.

Hi guys & gals,
I just replaced the headlight gears on my 94 today. The car has a little over 57,000 miles. Very easy job to do. Just thought I would post some pictures for all the "Inquiring minds that want to know". I'm surprised that they even worked.
Cheers!

Your white powder is what is left of the bushings.

I replaced my gears on my C4 just as a preventative. I found that the someone in the past replaced those round bushings with a similar sized metal nut. It worked OK, but I put the delrin ones in just in case.

Same here, mine had been replaced with nuts and they had cracked both gears. New gears and bushings sure smoothed out the operation. I also replaced all the little nylon bushings in the operating mechanism, cost $30 but took up a lot of the slop.
