Want to replace interior lights with LED
So I have been searching for a how to thread and can only find one for the digital dash. I have a 95. Most of the other car boards I'm on have one. Did I just miss it.
I was thinking red would be better than white since they are orange. Any one have pics of this done? Or have a link to a thread?
Would like to eventually change all of the interior lights. AC controls, window controls ect.

I am using the red LED's in the map lights under the mirror and in the courtesy lights on the doors. I like them but I may switch to the amber ones. Having the red Led's in the map lights help out allot if you have to turn on your interior lights on at night, they don't blind you like the white lights. I also have the white LED's in the hatch lights and under hood lights. I also have the white LED's for the courtesy floor lights and licences plate lite but have not installed them yet. Got my LED's from https://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/...cle/----/----/
if I can get a picture later I will post but its about 4 degrees out right now.

Actually I was just going to do all the lights that light gauges ect in red. Was going to do all the map, door ect in white.
I have been looking at the Superbright their are a lot of choices for brightness ect. I may have to give them a call. Kind of confused as to what ones to buy.

Pictures with Bulb Numbers would be nice.
I have used SuperLEDlights in the past and they have always done a great job. Their warranty is real and support is willing to help out.

I ordered white LED's from Corvette Mods. Were around $53 for the set, including those for the rear view mirror. Getting all the right bulbs in one package made it real easy. Took about an hour to replace all.
Kit included bulbs for the doors, halo, foot wells and optionally, the mirror. Also did under the hood. No external light mods yet.
Went with white and they are nice and bright. Was afraid the red would be too dim. Also, there is a nice glow over the center console when you do the mirror, which is amber, due to the color of the lens.

Just looked at Corvette Mods. The kit I see doesn't have the bulbs for behind the insterment cluster, ect. That is what I am looking to do. Kit looks go to do everything else.

If you want to save a good amount of money buy all your LED bulbs from eBay. The owners manual will give you all the bulb numbers you need.
I bought all my interior LED bulbs individually from eBay for a total of $19.78 -- (doors, floor, cargo compartment, center console, glove compartment, reading light under the mirror and under hood lights). All USA sellers to boot so quick delivery.

No one has really gave me any input about doing the insterment cluster. That was the main thing I was inserted in. Also not sure if I should get those in white or orange as they show up orange in the cluster.

Another source for great leds is: pilotlights.net
Just last week I replaced the red, frosted, 24 volt light bulb in a WWII primary navigation instrument with a 24 volt red led. All the heat is gone as well as the higher amperage draw.
Their service is quick and expert.

For the instrument panel bulbs & even the film for the display, also the entire set for the climate control and the bose stereo all can be found at www.batee.com Thes guys can even rebuild your instruments entirely for you if you remove the cluster and send in to their shop in Rolla Missouri , They are really experienced at Corvette instruments , you'll be pleased, now as autumn is a coming might be a good time to consider a refit like they offer , , I did it I really like the outcome on my 93 , being a convertible she had experience some sun fade to her IP cluster, these guys really fixed me up nicely

I converted my ZR-1's external lights to LEDs and used superbrightleds.com as well. They have the lights and where needed (impedance matching) they provide LOAD resistor kits as well.
