sharing a post for a zr1 that seems cheap to me!
I have 2 L98's to sell before I pull the trigger on a zr1 but I wanted to share this in case any other canucks or other great lakes state members are looking. 10K! Canadian dollars!! cheap!
seriously, this is crazy affordable and I'd do it in a second if I had even one of my L98's sold. I live across the country but I'd fly there and drive it home. looks like a dealership but I don't think this guy has a clue of what these go for. unless its motor is blown but I doubt it. send it to the dealer for an inspection?

Burning Brakes
Geez.
The only real thing I can see as a red flag is "why is it so cheap"? It's rated at "340 HP" and of course that's wrong if it's a ZR-1. It has the ZR-1 Emblem. I'd love to see a pic of under the hood.

I expected to see a much worse off car when I clicked that link. It's surprisingly clean for the price. Which makes me ponder if there's something terminal going on under the hood, or some other kind of reg flag. Can't say I'm a fan of the way they worded their disclaimer.
But man, if the car checked out a thorough inspection and history report... total steal. The conversion from CAD to USD is 1 to 0.8. So you're talking $8k!
Sometimes I wonder if some dealers don't do their research, just find out what C4's go for, and sell ZR1's as such. Ignorance of value does happen. I met a guy at a local car show that bought a '98 pace car (he confirmed it via VIN) but it didn't have its decals, and he got it for half the value of the car.

Safety Car
Is this the standard Canada disclaimer?? Scary.
This vehicle is being sold “as is”, unfit, not e-tested and is not represented as being in a road worthy condition, mechanically sound or maintained at any guaranteed level of quality. The vehicle may not be fit for use as a means of transportation and may require substantial repairs at the purchaser’s expense. It may not be possible to register the vehicle to be driven in its current condition.” But the car runs great.

Ask for some pics under the hood, I does appear to be a ZR-1. Good Luck. Also if you could get a picture of the SPID sticker that lists all the options and color.

From what I can tell that is not a ZR1...for a couple of reasons....
It doesn't say so in the ad....
The lug nut area of the rear wheel do not seem recessed enough for the 315 tires....
And if you look carefully at the back up taillights...there is no space between the license plate and the rear back up light....which there is on a ZR1 because of the wider stance for the wider tires.....
and is the center brake light on the top of the rear window glass? I didn't notice.
Just my 2cents.....

I just clicked on the link in the first post in this thread, and it came up with the ad on top saying 'sold', but then the same ad for the same ZR-1 is at the top of the list (for $1K more) that says was listed less than 6 hours ago. Maybe sale fell through?
