loss spark

Default loss spark

Hi, I have a 1994 LT1 and i replaced the battery and now i have no spark, car just cranks and won't start. did i burned up something?

Do you know for sure you have no spark? How's the fuel level?

fuel level is good, i pulled the plug wire off and can't get any sprark to the plugs. the car only has 49.000 miles and its been running fine before . it's been sitting for a while nad the battery was dead so i put i new one in and now it won't start

It could have something to do with the security system. Have a look:

If the car has the original alarm, read the owners manual. Did you read the thread I provided?

If the starter engages and turns the engine, the factory security system is fine.

Check fuses.
Perhaps somehow the ignition control module got fried, although not likely. Some chain auto parts store can test them. Too expensive to just replace as they are not returnable.
