Default Aftermarket stereo

My new to me 1990 C4 has had the stereo changed. Well not a big deal other than I don't have anything coming from the front speakers so I figured id do a little investigating. Opened up the rear speaker covers and they have replaced the bose with some RF 6.5's or whatever size was in there originally and ran new speaker wires. So now to inspect the fronts. Viola!! that's a good reason there isn't any sound... LOL.. excuse the dirty carpet..

When I had mine done (both my 1993 and 1994) he replaced the rear with 6x9 after removing the Bose Speakers...reused the factory covers. Then the front he replaced the speakers with what ever round was there using the Bose Housing which I see you are missing.

He removed anything to do with the old system and ran all new wires.

I ordered a set of JBL 4x6 plates to attach to the covers in the front for now. Ill go back later and build a box or plate for them but for now got bigger fish to fry like loose steering column.. I was just surprised they removed the front box's and left the rear. They even ran speaker wire there. LOL

Nice of them to run the new wire for you.
