Vinyl Wrap

Imagine how boring the world would be if everyone had the same taste.
The good thing is (if your neighbor threatens you because you have the "wrong color" on the car) that you can remove this plasi dip very quickly.

Hey, it's my opinion as I stated. As you must have your own. Do I have to like this wrap? Don't think so. Also would the world be a boring place if everyone liked the same thing, as in plastic wrapping their cars? I'd say yes. I'll pass on this idea.

It was a pretty easy equation for me to go with the plastidip. When the best quote you can get for a decent paint job is 4k and they want to keep your car for 2 months to do it, Plastidip becomes very attractive.
Going to redo it very shortly using the new high gloss product they just started offering.
Yes, you'll get the snobs sneering at you. Let 'em sneer. It's your car. Wrap it, dip it, paint it with rattle cans if you want.

....and since someone else dug up this old thread I will throw my two cents on top of it.
I had the same issue with a Mustang I was rehabbing. I tried the wrap but found that with a minimal investment and some practice (as well as a friend that knows what he is doing) you can do a pretty good DIY paint job that will solve that problem.

I tried my hand with 3M Di Noc carbon fiber wrap. I tried to wrap the front fender on my cycle. That was 50 bucks down the rat hole. I plasti-dipped it instead. I turned out great. A couple of things I learned; it is virtually fool proof to apply; its not very durable, it scuffs very easily. Its very easy to touch up with no issues. Its cheap. It peals off easily when fresh but after a couple of months is pretty difficult to get it all off. While it washes just fine i doubt you can do any sort of waxing. Would I do my C4? I don't think so. I haven't seen any with the glossy finish.
