Default OBD help

Is there a video on how to properly use a OBD meter to diagnose my 94? Also do I need OBD I or II?

that would be OBD 1 for a 94 and even the 95. The OBD2 was 96 and up. My 95 has the OBD2 connector. Not sure if 94 does. What type of scanning tool are you using? I use my PC. Tons of info in scan and tune section here.

The 94 is ob1 but has a ob2 plug don't need a scanner just jump the connector with a paper clip and can read the codes off the dash you can find it on youtube and am sure it is in here someplace

Use the paperclip and read the codes off the dash display.

I bought a MT2500 snapon scan tool for obd1 on ebay for less than 200 bucks..had a lot of cables, the books and the cartridges for my 84..It works great and has many functions.. much more than reading codes.. I just looked and there are plenty of them.with gm carts..most read 80s to 93 but most work on 94 ..

You got lucky most are sold because they were bad but looked good and folks got stuck with one that was not worth fixing

I always check the sellers feedback on ebay, it tells the tale.

Besides if you get shanked on ebay and used Paypal you will get your money back..

I use ebay to buy and sell.. never had a problem..
