Low Battery indicator on 94?
Is there a low battery indicator through the factory stereo of a 94? I think my alternator is going. When I'm driving and the voltage gets below 13 volts my stereo turns off and on. So I'm thinking a low voltage warning may have been on the factory radio???
Yea, I know. Check the FSM...

Low voltages like you see can do all sorts of things to the electrical system. The voltage you see (below 13v) is indicative of either a bad alternator or a bad battery.
Get the electrical system checked before the car dies out on the road somewhere. With the engine running, use a digital volt meter to check the alternator output at the large terminal post where the red wire attaches. With a fully charged battery, you should see voltage around 13.5 to 14.2. A fully charged battery with the engine off should show around 12.6 to 12.8 volts.

While replacing the alternator I found the plug had disintegrated. Pulled one from a junkyard and put it back together. Put the new alternator on and kept the old one as a spare. It was only $16 for the core charge.
It has a steady charge so far. Between 13.5 with a/c on high, and 14 with the a/c off. Time will tell.
