So recently I purchased an 88 vette, I researched everywhere about oil capacity and ke getting fro. 4.5 to 5.5 QTS with filter....


I'm confused, how much do I fill??? With filter....

With a new filter on my 89 its 5 qts.. WW

That should do it and of course you "stick it" afterwards to confirm. Since the car is new to you, the indicator should be part #'d 14094758 right on the indicator. Full after a change would confirm the pan hasn't been changed at some point.

The FSM will likely mention 4 without BUT it will have a note *check after to confirm.
