Radio Receiver
I recently bought a 1994 corvette convertible and the radio receiver is in the storage box behind the passenger seat. It is inside a plastic bag.
My question: Why would that be? Is it ok for me to take it out and make a foam tray to hold it securely? I think the plastic is tacky!
Thanks for your suggestions.

It didn't leave the factory in a plastic bag.
It should have been encased in a molded styrofoam

I replaced my radio and have the original styrofoam block for 94 coupe. I assume it's the same size. Pay shipping and it's yours. Pm your address.
