Default What is this popping sound?

Coming from the driver side tailpipes. I can't hear it on the passenger side tailpipes.

Sorry for the bad cell phone video

Don't hear it in mine, could be a bad gasket or another leak some where on that side. Here's mine after a recent exhaust update;

Thanks Jon. I'll take it to get it checked for exhaust leaks. Good looking car

If your exhaust system is fairly close to stock then the pipes split after the catalytic converter. Basically what that says is that the same exhaust is coming out of both sides. I would guess a problem inside the muffler.

It does sound like something flapping in the muffler, what exhaust do you have?

Allen's Chambered muffler eliminators. Could it be a catalytic converter going bad?

I'll get that done as soon as I can. It made this sound when I had the factory mufflers on to. This car has a gas smell on cold starts, or when it starts hard after sitting for 10 minutes or more. On hard starting, it smells like gas. Weird that this car passed emission legally not too long ago.

Check the vacuum hose on your fuel pressure regulator. Make sure there is no fuel in the hose (indicates ruptured fuel pressure regulator diaphragm).

Will do. Do I check this with the engine running, or just by putting the key in ON position?
