Great first interaction from a C7
Saw my first C7 while driving my 85 today. There's many people on here who have reported that the "newer" the generations, the less the wave, but I did not have that today. Pulled up next to him a loaded yellow C7 and he instantly pointed at me with a fully extent arm and smiled. Made me feel real good about the old girl. Ended up cruising right next to him for a mile or two, really reassured me that the wave is very well alive

Glad to hear you had a good experience compared to some of the other comments I have seen. Regardless of comments about the C4s being the red-headed step child and such, my experience has generally been very favorable to them. Numerous times at gas stations, I have had someone come by and comment on the "good looking Corvette." And mine is definitely a driver, not a show car and never will be!

Damn where do you live? This was the first C7 you have ever seen? The C7 has been on the road for 2 years now.

The C7 owners who wave are more than likely people who have owned Corvettes in the past and knew all about the "Wave".
I have always thought that Chevrolet should have put a blurb in the Owner's Manual about the Wave so new owners would know about it and take part. Most car salesmen don't know anything about this interaction between Corvette owners and could probably care less as long as they make their commission.
And it doesn't hurt to wave anyway!!

I wave at all Corvettes (I am on my second C5. First was a coupe, current a pristine Z06). Will own more (C7 or C6 Z06 will be my next one).
The only ones I have encountered that do not wave are those who do not know they are supposed to. In other words, not really Vette enthusiasts.

The Wave
Was out driving with my wife the other day, finally started to see plenty of C5-C6 on the road and we all shared 'the wave' My wife laughed and thought it was pretty cool that we all acknowledged each other. Even she was watching for other vettes. She asked if Mustang owners do that, "How could they, so many on the road their arms would be tired" plus most of em don't understand or have the comradery of vette owners.
