Default Wheels, tint, lowered, stereo in my new 1990

I picked up my first vette 2 months ago for $7500. It had been sitting since 2005. It has 91k on the clock. It needed a big time tuneup along with injectors, fuel pump and brakes. The tires were 20 years old so I swapped the sawblades for some c7 stingray wheels and dropped the back 1". I installed a new deck along with 4 Alpines and a JL Audio box with 2 10"s. The tint is 15% on the sides and limo on the back. Here is the pics from the day I got it in March and today. Loving my vette. And its paid for.

Thanks for the replies. I was a Buick Grand National Turbo V6 guy for 18 years. It seems the vette guys are great too and have a really good forum. Lots of knowledge to share.

Excellent C4. Welcome to the Corvette world and Forum. If you have a question, someone here will give you a response. C4's offer very good mpg's and handle great.

Looks great. I have the same year as you. My Bose stereo has one working speaker. Did you have to do that resistor bypass thing to keep the sys warning light off ? Did you have to remove the CDM as well ? I'm a little worried about changing the stereo and causing other problems. Thanks in advance.

Thanks
I bought a 1/2" grade 8 allthread rod. I cut 2 11" pieces and replaced the factory 9" bolt. Super easy and only took about 20 minutes.

I bought the 2 resistors at Radio Shack. 1/2 watt 1k ohm. When you unplug the factory deck there are 2 wires in the harness that you need to connect the resistors to. One is gray/black and the other is purple/white(I think). Someone will chime in if my memeory is off. Anyway, you put one resistor end on the gray/blk and the other end to a switched 12volt ignition source. Same of the pur/wht wire. I found a 12+ hot wire with my test light and tied into it. I have no sys light or any other issues. Thats it. Plain and simple.I ran all new speaker wires when I removed the Bose stuff. I also removed the thick factory carpet on the grill covers and replced it with thin balck speaker cloth. The clarity and the highs are night and day. The speakers sounded muddy trying to play thru the carpet.

The JL Audio box will blur your vision. RUSH and AC/DC never sound better.
