Hate to see this car in the junk yard. Insurance wouldn't fix it as they estimated more damage then it was worth. Was my dads 95 black on black 6 speed. I hit a large piece of tractor trailer tire after pulling out to pass a car on the interatate. The impact blew out the front passenger tire an threw the car into a skid till i hit the concrete median.

Insurance money allowed me to get this 94. Even though its an automatic it was super clean and had relatively low mileage at 74k.

I like the beige an black color combo.

Think the previous owner took it to the track. They installed a roll bar an trans temp guage.

Good thing you're ok

Also like the color combo of the new one.

Default Thanks

Yeah I felt very fortunate to walk away from that with just a few cuts from the broken glass. Some of the bags actually flew out the roof an hatchback. One even going over the median into oncoming traffic.

You're fortunate that's all that happened.
Good luck with the new car. Looks like you have a head start if you want to autocross or try a track day.

Incident provides a good reason to have "agreed upon value" with your Insurance Co. for your Corvette.

They said it was going to salvage auction. I could got it back in that condition for 2k. Guess the wheels an 3 tires were still good. Maybe the seats depending on how much rain got in there since cuz they didn't cover it. Most all the glass was broke except the windows. Power train may have been OK with it being a side impact but not sure. Driver side body pieces woulda been OK too.

I think they gave me a fair value price. Just can't put a sentimental value on the fact that it was my pops car.

Sentiment can't be replaced but that replacement is one serious build. Good catch there and best of luck with your new vette! I'm sure pops would love it

AND when you look at the way the roof broke, if your head went up into it you'd either be scalped or decapitated. Yup, Dad was looking out for you....
