1990 c4 glass roof
Hi guys
Might sound like stupid question
I'm looking at buying a 1990 c4 corvette
That has a glass roof
Are the all removable ?
If so how ?
If not how do I tell if it is ?

Yes, they are all removable. All C4 coupes have removable tops.
They are not "glass" tops though.
There are four bolts holding the tops in.
2 in back (horizontal) into the back halo bar, and 2 in front (vertical) going up into the windshield header

Not sure of the exact material.
The transparent tops are some type of polycarbonate, acrylic, or lexan.
There was also the body colored tops, made from the same SMC fiberglass as the rest of the car.
They both fit and install the same way.

Safety Car
Just make sure that the car also comes with the body colored fiberglass top. The glass tops are known to crack pretty easy on the C4's. That and you will be greenhoused to death in the summer months and will learn to hate it.
Deduct $600 or $700 for no painted top is my advice. once you buy one, paint it, maybe have to fix the weather strip and headliner, you will have spent at least that much. Also getting a glass top re-lensed at Melrose T-Top and all the shipping costs will be $700 also.
