Under hood remote starting
I need to do a compression check and I know how to do that. Question is; is there a convenient place to hook up a remote starter button under the hood? My old Fords have a nice solenoid on the fender that is easy to get to. If I recall, the GM cars have it down on the starter itself under the car. Is there any topside location I can clip some jumper wires onto to spin the engine, or do I have to "Dive" for it?

This doesn't answer your question - but why can't you just use key for a compression test? Easy and all around safer.
My compression tester doesn't require any hands on after its been threaded into the hole.

Probably should just do that. I kind of wanted to watch the gauge pulse up and see how fast it gained and looses compression seal.
