Default Tire Interchangeability

Stock tire sizes are 255/45/17 fronts and 285/40/17 rears

I want to change to 275/40/17 both front and back.

Can anyone verify by personal experience that this change causes no problems with the ABS ????

the tire calculator displays this is a near perfect match.
fronts are -4.8mm new radius 325.9mm Original radius 330.6mm
rears are -4.0mm new radius 325.9mm Original radius 329.9mm

It will not cause any problems at all.

That 275/40-17 on all 4 corners was a factory option.

It would be a good idea to change the front rim though.
The factory 255/45-17 tire is on an 8.5 inch rim.
The factory used 9.5 inch rims on all 4 corners when they used the 275/40-17 tires.

I went with 275/40-17 on a 9.5 inch ZR-1 replica rims for my '96

That's great news !! I figured it would be ok but thought I would ask before I spend 700 bucks on tires.
Im going to do the exact same thing with the wheels. My car is the purple rose color (or whatever its called) with grey leather interior and the grey ZR1 replica wheels should look great with these colors.
