You might have gotten lucky is there a coolant hose hose to your throttle body?

Found something about a throttle body bypass might be a cheap fix.

Can't wait to see how this turns out. Hopefully well.

I would go to harbor freight and grab one of their coolant system pressure testers. Not too cheap ($90) but a decently made tool that seems to come in handy often enough. Put 10psi into the coolant system and you should be able to hear clearly where it's leaking from (probably a big leak based on your symptoms). Or just rig up some shop air into the coolant system and find the leak real quick. It should be air tight. Don't pressurize the system longer than necessary to find the leak though since you don't want to dump coolant where it doesn't belong
Good luck!!!

Hope for the best plan for the worst.
I just did a TB Bypass on a 94 LT1. The only thing way I can think of how you got that coolant in your air intake is if maybe a leak from the where the upper radiator hose T connector that goes through your TB and then to the heater hose is leaking but really that doesn't make sense because the 5/8" hoses are outside of the TB. So the only way in my mid you had coolant in that intake of air near the air filter that goes to your MAF then to your TB is maybe some how there is a crack in your TB?
This is all just a guess from a NEWBY c4 owner that just did a 94 to 95 upper radiator hose TB mod because his T connector rusted out.
Good luck to you hope your path leads to a solution.

I found my problem but first I’ll tell you how I got there- Iremoved the plugs and all were wet as I would have thought with that much antifreezein the intake- I refilled coolant system and pressurized it- water was freeflowing out #7 spark plug hole like a fountain- Nothing was leaking in oraround the intake- I pulled the throttle body and pressurized it and found noleaks- I then pulled the intake and I did not see any signs of problems so I pulledthe driver side cylinder head and could see where the top of #7 piston was “powerwashed” and the head gasket is dilapidated. So looks like new head gaskets forme. Should I have these heads magnafluxed? What are your thoughts? Pics tofollow.
THE FIRST PIC IS WHERE #7 CYLINDER WOULD BE.

I do have a question.. on the back of the cylinder head there was a line that was like a jumper to the other head with a bolt in it with holes in the bolt. those threads in the head are pretty messed up. what is this jumper? How can i repair those threads?

Sorry to hear that your Head Gasket failed. I will be watching this post since I want to learn since this may happen to me also some day.

Do you mean there's a banjo bolt? Not sure what line it is. If it's in the water jacket I would just run a tap to clean the threads and put the bolt back in with some rtv on the threads to help seal. Don't over tighten!

That is the coolant flow tube. That is how coolant gets from one head to the other head on an LT1/LT4 motor. It uses banjo bolts and dual crush washers to seal the tube to the heads. you may need to have it inspected by a good machine shop. They may be able to put in a thread-sert to repair it. It is an important part of the LT1/LT4 cooling system.
