Corvettes at Carlise
Hello all,
Looks like the weather will be nice for the weekend at Carlisle. I just have a question about the weekend. I usually go on Saturday but there is a local car show in my area as well. I want to attend both but will go to Carlisle on the best day. Is Friday a good day to go to Carlisle? Im mainly just interested in seeing the Corvettes and maybe getting lucky at the swap meet for C4 parts. Are most of the vendors and cars there on Friday, or do most show up on Saturday? Just want to maximize my time there as I am 1.5 hours away. Thanks for any suggestions.

More people there on Saturday so it is easier to get around on Friday although it is still busy.
Most vendors will be there. Bring a 2 wheel hand truck or a wagon and some rope to tie things on.
Take lots of pics.

Don't even bother with Sunday, most of the venders pack up early Sunday and go home by the middle of the day...Either Friday or Saturday are fine, although on Saturday evening the independent guys selling Corvette items will sometimes give you a better deal so they don't have to lug their stuff home......WW

I have a list of parts that some friends C4 owners and I need and today I walked the vendors alleys several times from 1 end to the other and wasnt able to find a single item on my list, most are common parts. its like they all make it a mission to boycott the C4 generation. This is not from now, its been on going year after year.

Im @ carlisle right now, its nice to walk around and admire 10s of thousands different vettes and believe me therere some beauties, but if u r looking specifically for C4 parts save yourself a trip....theres absolutely nothing for C4s.

I just got back from Carlisle ,and out of the $600.00 cash I took to spend on C4 items , I have $592.00 left... I bought a C4 keychain, and believe me, there wasn't much more C4 stuff then that to buy..Sad........Seeing old friends was the best part......WW

Well I ended up going on Saturday and almost didn't make it. Decided to go at 1230 and glad I did. Perfect weather and loads of fun crammed into 4 hours there. Like others have posted not much in the way of C4 stuff but I did find a nose emblem and a new carpet for the rear compartment. Watching people drop thousands of dollars into a Magnaflow exhaust and hearing it roar was worth the trip itself. Lots of desireable cars in the Car Corral too, not to mention thousands to look at. Cant wait till next year

Parts in general are just a different animal since the Internet. Swap meets have all but died. I think that if you looked at the quality parts, not ragged out junk, that C4 was well represented. I did get a few small items.
