What to use on upper dash pad, Armorall?
Hi This is prob a stupid question, but what does every one treat or put on the dash pad to keep it looking shiny and new? Ive heard some products can in the end dry them out and cause to crack. I bought a replacement on here from a party and it seems to be in perfect shape and I would like to keep it that way, especially in this Beating Florida sun. Thanks in advance

I use Lemon Pledge furniture polish for the last 20 years nice low gloss finish.

Simple wipe-down with the drying cloth from a wash, removes the dust and has kept mine perfect since 3/85.
(That, and keeping the sun off it as much as possible, even while my DD, parked at LAX for up tp 20+ days at a time. OUCH!)

Keep it out of the sun with a shade or pop top cover (google it). If you must use something, Meguiar's Natural Shine or 303 Aerospace protectant.

I agree with whale. Just a damp cloth. Many of the Armorall type products outgas and coat the inside of the windshield with a film that's bloody hard to remove. It makes the glass look like a smoker has been blowing smoke on it for months -- non-stop.

Another vote for lemon Pledge. Nice low gloss shine, without the terrible windshield glare, or the film on the inside of the windshield that develops after using armor all. And you can't beat the lemony fresh scent! I have been using it for years on the dash and door panels.

A Dashmat. In AZ if you dont use towels or a dashmat the heat then tends to lift and crack the pads. I believe shiney Armorall hastens this process.
Thats not popular with a lot of folks but its what I use along wth a microfiber towel to clean off all the dust from time to time and I have never had a cracked dash

With the angle of the windshild, anything you put on the dash pad to make is "shinny" will make it very uncomfortable to drive.
Something that protects is fine, as long as it doesn't make it shine.
I would not use Armorall.

Below is a link to 303 Aerospace Protectant, it’s matte finish and has UV protectants. Have been using it on my ’96’s interior surfaces (except for the seats) for nearly two decades, my interior looks OEM new.

I like 303 Aerospace Protectant too.
Hard to find though. I couldn't find any place in town that stocked it, so I bought some (a small spray bottle) online to try it. It worked well enough I bought a gallon. Works good on interiors, tires, underhood plastic, weatherstrips, and a lot more.

Armor-All attracts dust & dirt better than a K&N Filter! Nasty stuff
I've been using "Son of a Gun" because it has UV protection in it. Have to use it lightly though because it is too much like Armor-All with the dirt attraction.
Going to look up that 303 stuff. They say O'Reilly has it.
