Like others my 1993 headlight swtich stopped working. Before I tried to fix it as recommended by other Forum posts, I happened to try something else that I thought might work. To my surprise it did. Behind (toward the dash) the stalk is a small plastic cover. You can barely see a seam. I very carefully pushed it open and moved the column up and down. The darn thing now works. The actuator must have bound up against something. Getting the cover on without breaking was a pain, but did go back in place. Took about 10 minutes and cost nothing. Whew! Hopefully this will help someone.
