90 eliminated the MAF it uses a speed density system = no big deal.

Brake boosters are plastic they tend to fail, a replacement requires seat & hush panel removal. Be sure to match up the replacement booster push rod length & the mounting stud thread pitch some replacement boosters are different, don't know why.

If a SIR (air bag) problem cleaning the frame sensors is a common fix. If a frame sensor is bad your SOL they are 90 year model only & are not available.

Stock 90 injectors tend to fail due to corn fuel, if they have been changed = good. If you need them a set of Bosch 3's from Jon on this forum work well for short $$.

Luck with your new Vette if you need help with anything post up.

Project cars can be fun, rewarding, and time consuming. With that said do what you feel you want and have fun along the way. I once traded a nice running 84 for an 80 in boxes. Took about 2 years to complete.

Thanks for the heads up! And a plastic booster? Huh... Though they were all made of metal. Probably why they fail so much because of the pressure of the vacuum. I am going out on Sunday (hopefully by then this darn rain from the hurricane has passed), And gonna take a good long hard look on the underside of the car making sure there is no rust or rotting of the frame.

Check over the springs for de-lamination while you're checking underneath. Rack and pinion for leaks. The usual l98 leaks.

Sounds like you are ready to move on from the GTA and get into a Corvette. I am sure you will like the feel of the vette once you get it sorted out. I would bet that vette has well over 100K miles but sounds like it runs good so should be a good project.

The reason why it is hard to sell these as a project with high miles is the value or lack of right now. Does not make sense to buy a basket case for say $2500.00 when you can get one like you were shown for $ 5,000.00. Your situation is different as you are trading a project for a project so that just comes down to a desire to change to something different.

Keep us posted on how this new adventure works out.
