Meet The Newest And Youngest C4 Owner
I've been kind of looking for a toy car for my wife Karen and maybe one that could become a first car for my granddaughter Miss E. Even though she is only 13 now she is a real car gal. She has been showing my cars and winning awards for the past 4 or 5 years even acting as crew chief for me when racing at Sebring.
E and I ended up driving across the state yesterday to meet with forum member Pasta Mike to check out his 1996 C4. It was surprisingly as advertised, clean, runs well, low milage. He let us drive it for a while and E and I thought it was a nice car. She doesn't know that it will be hers someday yet.
We loaded it up and brought it to it's new home.
Her plans are to fix it up a bit, complete detail and take it to some local shows. She is saying she would like to go to a driving school and do some road corses as well as some 1/4 mile time.
Atsa my girl

Impressed. Who says the kids of today are not what they used to be? They are what we help them to be.

Thanks everyone. We are a Corvette family (and some Vipers ).
E is a car nut and we went to the NCRS show a while ago and she saw the white and purple pace car and said that is what I want. We happened over to the NCRS tent and they had a model of it so she plunked down her own cash and bought it. So I have a feeling that when it comes time for paint it just might have a purple top half.
It's not exactly the perfect first car for a kid but I think with her involvement in it, working on it before she can drive and learning some respect for cars, driving and racing just might be the right fit. I think a C4 is a good car to start with as they are pretty reliable, somewhat challenging to work on and not exactly know for their tire frying performance (no offence)
Started to love cars at a young age.
"I have got to drive this hot rod"!!
She loves Nanas 35 Terraplane.
